Week of Feb 8-12

Notes:
  • A note is coming home today about a new communication tool for parents that I'm using called Remind.  You can sign up using text or email.  It's NOT a replacement for the agendas as I feel it is really important that students learn to be responsible for their learning and belongings, etc.  However, this will enable me to send out quick announcements like reminders to the whole group or quick messages about cool things your kids are doing to individual parents.  The app is free and information is kept private.  Please contact me if you have any questions!  Oh!  I almost forgot - I may have bribed the kids.  The first 12 parents to respond on Remind win their child a full sized chocolate bar!!!
  • Next week is a break.  Monday is Family Day, Tuesday and Wednesday are a "Reading Week" break, and Thursday and Friday are Teachers' Convention.  No school for students ALL next week.
  • Reminder that the Valentine's Day class list is on the blog.  If your child chooses to send valentines, please make sure there is one for everyone.
  • We are still looking for some "dippers" for our Valentine's Day party on Friday.  So far we have apples and bananas being sent in.  Drop me a note if you are able to contribute!

  • Math: We are finishing with basic multiplication and division for now with a "Show What You Know" on Wednesday and Thursday.
