Christmas is on It's Way

So my goal at the beginning of the year has not truthfully happened and so I am going to try to be better with it!

It's hard to believe that we only have one week of learning left before our Christmas break.  With that being said, we do have a busy week planned with curriculum and fun mixed together.
Monday we will start the morning with Christmas carols in the gym at 9a.m.  Tuesday is our third annual (I think this is our third year) turkey dinner in the gym.  The feeling of sitting down as a "family" to share some great food is fulfilling.  On Wednesday, our class will be walking over to Wilson for a French presentation in the morning and finishing off the day with carolling in the gym at 2:15.  Thursday afternoon, the school will be participating in a craft afternoon.  Your child will be creating four different crafts at the grade 4/5 level.  Then on Friday, it is our December assembly.  Kids (and staff) are encouraged to dress in the comfiest of clothes or pajamas  because after the assembly the school will finish the morning off with a Christmas movie.
Having two weeks off, I do ask that you try to continue reading daily.  Remember too after the break we will be moving into multiplication and division.  So, you may want to brush up on your basic facts!
I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.  Thank you for a great fist bit of the year!
